Background:
Up on the cliff, like an eagle's nest with a glimpse of the lake and surrounded by tall pines, is where this holiday home is found – which brightens up just that – the holidays, for its owner. When the small combined houses became too cramped, we designed an extension with a new entrance, new bathroom, and bedroom with a view.
The work was published in Plaza Interiör and photographed by Elin Sylwan.
The existing small houses built together brought our thoughts to the fishing camp of the old days and the idea of a new modern part – like a floating container – had to form the concept. At the same time, we designed a new kitchen, with seating in the narrow passage and open storage – with the feeling of an outdoor kitchen, stuck inside.
